AOE Newsletter - February 14, 2026

Dear AOE Families,

pie
Will Principal Yamasaki get PIE-ED? 🥧

AOE Eagles, we are soaring! Our school-wide Jogathon goal is $80,000, and thanks to your incredible generosity, we are already MORE THAN HALFWAY THERE! If we reach our goal by February 26th, Principal Yamasaki has agreed to get "pie"-ed in front of the whole school! Let’s keep that momentum going. Every donation counts toward our goal and helps support our amazing school programs.

Who’s ready to see a pie in the sky (and on the Principal)? Let’s go, Eagles!

Please take 5 minutes to complete the survey here. The survey consists of one question and your response will be anonymous. Then you “rate” 30 anonymous submissions for how much you agree with each submission. Thank you for your partnership!

As you participate, it's important to understand:
  • Any input you provide will be shared exactly as you entered it.
  • Your input may be seen by other participants.

Our SSC met last week for our second meeting. We looked at some school wide assessment data and also discussed ideas for the draft of an AOE Student and Family Handbook. We hope this resource will be ready for the 26-27 school year to support new and returning families in learning all the great things about being part of our AOE community. Stay tuned!

A Message from our PTA Nominating Committee

Our AOE community is something to be proud of. Help us continue to offer the amazing special events and opportunities that our students love by volunteering with the PTA.

Being part of the PTA means sharing in the moments that make school special—building connections with other families, staying close to your child’s school life, and helping create memories your children will carry with them long after the school year ends.

Your Nominating Committee is actively seeking new faces for the 2026-27 school year. A variety of roles are available, from leadership to committee chairs and coordinators, with some board positions requiring less than 5 hours of commitment a month. Did your child love a certain event this year? Many existing event teams are looking to add members.

Reach out to nomcom@aoepta.org to learn how you can lend a hand.

Help us get to know you and your interests!
